OUR 350 EXPERIANCE

On Oct. 24, 2009, a group of students joined the Nor Marash Junior-High group. The program began with a worship service where Pastor Hrayr Cholakian, talked about God's creation and our place in it (based on Gen. 1:15) -"The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it."

After the worship, Hrag Avedanian presented to the Junior-High members what "350" stood for. We then took to the streets of Bourj Hammoud in three groups and distributed the pamphlets (see previous post) we had prepared.

After an hour or so all returned and shared their wonderful experience and had refreshments. Thanks to all who took part. View More Pictures

Student Council's first activity: 350

The student Council has planned to march for 350 (to know more visit 350.org). The brochure above, is what will be distributed among students and to the shops in Bourj Hammoud. It is our belief that we --and all of creation-- belong to God, and are responsible to take good care of it.

This is our first step. Our school will be a place for new hope for the future of our BLUE and beloved planet.

We wish to serve as an example to generations to come by simply doing our part.

We would highly appreciate if you would join us in any way possible.

First Friday of the Year

It has become our school's tradition to take our students to KCHAG (The Arm. Evang. Summer Resort) on the first Friday of the year. Elem. as well as Intermediate and Secondary students, had their separate programs and enjoyed the beautiful nature.

A visit from the Danish-Armenian Mission

During September 2009, we had the pleasure of having Mr. Mikkel Bandak, a medical student and a member of the Board of the Danish-Armenian Mission in Denmark, in our school. Mr. Bandak's visit came to create stronger ties between the school and the mission. We thank Mr. Bandak, the mission he represents and the Church in Skaevinge for their friendship and support.
